GOP lawmaker who admitted to 2024 affair with staffer sent lewd texts to 2nd aide in 2020: report

Gonzales announced in March that he would not seek reelection following revelations about a 2024 affair with married congressional staffer Regina Santos-Aviles, who later died by suicide.

Democrat Rep. Tony Gonzales, who will not seek November reelection following revelations about an affair the married Texas congressman had with a staffer, pressed another female aide for nude photos and sex, recently obtained texts appear to show.  

The emails were obtained and reported on Monday by The San Antonio Express-News

Gonzales announced in March that he would not seek reelection following revelations about a 2024 affair with married congressional staffer Regina Santos-Aviles, who later died by suicide.

The congressman also sent lewd texts to her including one in which he pushed her to send "sexy pics" and asked for an in-person meetup, the newspaper also reports.
