Trump names Adam Telle as acting Army Secretary after Driscoll’s resignation

President Donald Trump announced Thursday night that Adam Telle will replace former Army Secretary Dan Driscoll in the post on an interim basis.

Telle is currently Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works and oversees public engineering, including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and infrastructure projects for the Army.

"I am pleased to announce that Adam Telle, the current Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, will become Acting Secretary of the Army, effective immediately," Trump posted on Truth Social. "He is a Great Patriot, who is respected by all. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

The announcement comes just days after Driscoll tendered his resignation, making him the latest Senate-confirmed civilian or military leader to exit the administration.

His departure comes after he reportedly clashed with War Secretary Pete Hegseth for months over the removal of multiple senior military leaders.
