Trump says US preparing more strikes on Iran

President Donald Trump warned Friday that the United States is prepared to launch additional military strikes against Iran, accusing the regime in Tehran of violating a recent ceasefire agreement and threatening international shipping in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. 

The warning came as tensions escalated across the Middle East, with Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claiming responsibility for attacks on additional commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, while Kuwait said it intercepted Iranian drones targeting key infrastructure. 

A commercial vessel also reported damage near Oman, adding to concerns over maritime security in one of the world’s busiest oil shipping corridors. 

Trump said the Iranian regime would face severe consequences if attacks on commercial vessels or U.S. personnel continue. 

“Iran will continue to pay until they come to the table in, what President Trump deems, a meaningful way," said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
