Eritrean illegal immigrant allegedly assaulted woman after being freed from jail instead of deported
Radiet Meles, 35, an ex-soldier from Eritrea, was expected to be deported after finishing his five-year sentence following a conviction for a 2019 attempted sexual assault of an unconscious woman at a house party.
An illegal immigrant from the African country of Eritrea, who was living in the United Kingdom, allegedly raped a woman after being freed from jail following a previous attack.
Radiet Meles, 35, an ex-soldier from Eritrea, was expected to be deported after finishing his five-year sentence following a conviction for a 2019 attempted sexual assault of an unconscious woman at a house party, the Daily Mail reported. However, he was allowed to stay in Britain.
Meles was arrested again in March after police responded to reports of an attack on another woman. He denied the rape and assault, but he was found guilty by a jury at Cardiff Crown Court following a five-day trial.
