Federal grand jury issues subpoena to former James Comey adviser in leak investigation: report

A federal grand jury on Monday issued a subpoena to Daniel Richman, a one-time adviser to former FBI Director James Comey, as part of an investigation into allegations that Comey leaked classified information to the media. 

The subpoena indicates that the Justice Department launched a new investigation into the leak of classified information to the New York Times, Fox News reported. 

President Donald Trump had investigated the allegations during his first term, which was cut off when former President Joe Biden took office in January 2021. 

The investigation into the alleged leaks follows a separate investigation into Comey's alleged threats against Trump.
