New York City police officers allegedly shot a woman Monday after she advanced toward them wielding two knives that she reportedly used to stab two victims.

The incident took place near West 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to the outlet. The woman allegedly stabbed a man and a woman before she fled north toward an NYPD substation while wielding both knives.
The New York police officers reportedly used a taser to try and stop the suspect, but she continued advancing with the knives, prompting the officers to shoot her. It was not clear where she was hit.
Authorities said they do not believe the incident is terrorism-related.
