President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced the automatic enrollment of every eligible minor in America in the Trump accounts program.

The Trump accounts are government-maintained investment accounts that received money from the Treasury and private contributions. Each account is tied to an American child and will be made available to them when they become an adult to help them financially.

"Today, I'm pleased to announce that every single eligible minor child in America has now been automatically enrolled in a Trump Account," Trump said in the Oval Office.

The project has drawn multi-billion-dollar contributions from private donors like Michael and Susan Dell, who pledged $6.2 billion to the program to fund 25 million accounts.
