Hegseth, Bessent attend renaming of Air Force base to honor Lindsey Graham
Graham died unexpectedly last month and was replaced by his sister, Sen. Darline Graham, R-S.C.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Monday traveled to South Carolina to attend the formal renaming of Joint Base Charleston to honor the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
Graham died unexpectedly last month and was replaced by his sister, Sen. Darline Graham, R-S.C. The two Cabinet officials and the current Senator Graham attended the event, which saw the unveiling of the revised welcome sign.
Gov. Henry McMaster, R-S.C., appointed Graham's sister to complete the remainder of his term, though she is seeking the Republican nomination for a full term in a special primary.
That race also includes Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., and Rep. Russel Fry, R-S.C.
