Trump announces overhaul of Dulles airport near D.C.
The multi-billion-dollar overhaul will see millions of square feet of the complex renovated.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced plans for a major overhaul of Dulles International Airport, the main international airport near Washington, D.C.
Trump made the announcement in the Oval Office with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
"This transformation is another step in our ongoing efforts to make Washington, D.C. safe and beautiful again," Trump said.
The multi-billion-dollar overhaul will see millions of square feet of the complex renovated. It will also include the expansion of parking, ground transportation, hotels, new restaurants, shops, and other critical infrastructure.
While Dulles is the main international airport servicing the nation's capital, Reagan airport services Washington, D.C., on a national level.
