In another blow to President Donald Trump's endorsement record, Wyoming Superintendent of Public Schools Megan Degenfelder lost the Republican primary for governor on Tuesday evening.

Degenfelder lost out to state Sen. Eric Barlow, who took 45% of the vote to her roughly 30%.

Trump endorsed Degenfelder earlier this month. Her lose stood in clear contrast to Rep. Harriet Hageman's decisive win in the Senate primary to replace the retiring Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo.

But the night was not a strong one for Trump, with two of his preferred House candidates in Florida also losing their primaries. Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., lost to local media personality Ryan Elijah, while Catalina Lauf lost her bid to replace Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., to businessman Jim Schwartzel.
