Voters prefer Trump over Biden on border, foreign relations, and the economy: poll

In a one-on-one matchup, Trump led Biden 52% to 48%.

Former President Donald Trump holds a considerable lead over President Joe Biden on a litany of issues, with respondents to a recent survey indicating they believe he would do a better job on border security, the economy, foreign affairs, and even entitlements.

Fifty percent of registered voters in a Marquette University Law School survey said Trump would perform better on immigration and border security, with 27% saying Biden would perform better on the matter.

On the economy 51% picked Trump, while 30% backed Biden. Trump led on foreign relations 44% to 38% and on the Israel-Gaza conflict, specifically, 42% to 31%. The former president edged out Biden 39% to 38% on Medicare and Social Security as well.

Biden led more decisively on abortion and climate change, two marquee issues for Democrats. On abortion, Biden led Trump 41% to 34% while on climate change, he led 42% to 31%.

In a one-on-one matchup, Trump led Biden 52% to 48%.

Conducted Nov. 2-7, the survey question 856 registered voters and has a margin of error of +/- 4.5%.
