In a meeting with President Donald Trump's adviser Jared Kushner on Sunday in Egypt, Hamas leaders said they still intend to demilitarize Gaza.

The White House and Trump's Board of Peace are pressuring Hamas and Israel to proceed with this next step in the U.S. 20-point peace plan, which also requires Israel and Hamas to complete a complicated series of reciprocal and independently verified steps over approximately seven to eight months.
