Just the News parent publishing its first book: a tribute to Charlie Kirk’s intellect

Just the Network, the parent company for Just the News, is publishing its first book celebrating the life and intellect of Charlie Kirk ahead of the one-year anniversary of his murder.

The Intellect of Charlie Kirk: A Collection of Writings, Ideas, and Stories from a Transformative American went on sale Tuesday at Amazon and Barnes & Noble in partnership with Post Hill Press under the brand new Just the Books label.

The Intellect of Charlie Kirk is written by long-time Kirk collaborator Brent Hamachek and chronicles the relationship between the two over a period that commenced with an unlikely dinner in September 2013.

Hamachek co-wrote with Kirk the 2016 New York Times bestseller, Time for a Turning Point, as well as numerous columns together. 

“The history that Charlie and I had together was certainly both singular and completely unlikely,” Hamachek said.  “I had no proven ‘pedigree’ for virtually any of the work I did with him.  Charlie spotted something in me that nobody else had ever even glimpsed; including myself.

"He opened doors for me and gave me a chance to do things I had dreamed of doing since I was 17 years old," he also said.

The book is organized into thematic chapters that curate content the two developed over time.  

One chapter is devoted to columns about President Donald Trump, another focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic, while one addresses the confirmation process for now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Hamachek said in the Trump chapter, “I tell the story of how Charlie evolved from being a supporter of Senator Ted Cruz in early 2015 to ultimately becoming one of the loudest and most impactful supporters of President Trump.”

The book contains a never-before-published introduction written by Kirk himself back in January 2020 when he had planned to publish a collection of his columns up to that point. In that piece, he explains his own evolution regarding the Trump candidacy-turned-presidency.  

In addition to columns, the book contains content that relates to Kirk and Hamachek’s work together studying both communications and political science.

In the appendix, Hamachek shares the weightlifting program he gave to Kirk.

"Early this decade, Charlie reached out and asked if I would work with him to start a weightlifting program.  I loved that!  I sent the program by email and even walked through it with him in-person down in Arizona,” Hamachek said.

Just the News founder and award-winning investigative journalist John Solomon wrote the foreword for the book, recounting his final conversation with Charlie two weeks before his September 2025 death.
