Trump admin. adds former Iraqi official to terrorist watchlist, revokes visa
"We don't allow suspected terrorists to reside in our country," the State Department wrote on X.
Taif Sami Mohammed, former Minister of Finance of Iraq, has been added to the US terrorist watchlist and the State Department has revoked her visa.
She received former President Biden's Women of Courage Award back in 2022, Fox News reported.
"We don't allow suspected terrorists to reside in our country," the State Department wrote Friday on X.
"President Trump and Secretary Rubio took swift action to revoke Ms. Mohammed's visa and ensure she is no longer in the United States," they added.
In the past, GOP members of Congress have accused her of helping finance terrorism through Iraq's financial system.
On Friday, she reportedly had said she was not placed on the terrorist watchlist and her visa hadn't been revoked, according to Iraqi state media.
