Hayden Panettiere, who had roles in "Heroes and "Tennessee," died at age 36.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden," her father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement to ABC News on Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at the Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday afternoon, the Associated press reported. Life-saving measures were given to the woman, later identified as Panettiere, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

No cause of death has been provided, but a preliminary investigation removed no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances, Fox News reported

Panettiere began her career as a child star, and she would go on to have roles in both television and film.

In interviews and her memoir titled "This is Me: A Reckoning," which was published in May, Panetierre provided details about alcoholism, postpartum depression and domestic abuse.
