San Antonio Spurs defeat the New York Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals

The San Antonio Spurs secured their first win of the NBA Finals on Monday night by defeating the New York Knicks in game three of the championships.

The Spurs defeated the Knicks 115-111 at Madison Square Garden, throwing a curveball in New York's hopes of securing the championship in a four-game sweep, though the Knicks still lead 2-1. 

The winner of the championship will follow current titleholder Oklahoma City Thunder, which defeated the Indiana Pacers last year.

The fourth game of the Finals will take place Wednesday night in Manhattan and the fifth game will take place Saturday in San Antonio, Texas.
