The American Israel Public Affairs Committee's political action committee this week began pulling the donation buttons for over 100 House Democrats who voted to end American aid to Israel.

Nearly half of Democrats in the House of Representatives on Wednesday rebuked Israel by voting to end aid to the United States ally, even though the measure to cut off aid still failed because the country had massive Republican support.

AIPAC’s campaign finance arm has since deleted the donation button for more than a dozen of those Democrats from a page that lists incumbents who “stand with Israel," according to Politico.

“AIPAC members are deeply appreciative of their representatives who stand on principle and are disappointed by those who don’t,” AIPAC spokesperson Deryn Sousa told the outlet.

The members now listed without donation buttons include Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, who, as House Minority Whip, is the No. 2 House Democrat, and Colorado Democratic Rep. Brittany Pettersen.

The move also comes after some congressional Democrats claimed they no longer want the organization's support, including New York Democratic Rep. Pat Ryan.

“Hardline stances that refuse to stand up to a corrupt and increasingly dangerous Netanyahu regime have no place in our politics,” Ryan said in a statement on X on Wednesday.

The vote marked a significant change in support for Israel among Democrats, who have had to deal with blowback from liberal voters regarding Israel's handling of the conflict against Hamas. In 2024, just 37 Democrats voted to pull U.S. funding from Israel.
