Bill Clinton to make first midterm campaign appearance, to stump for Jolly in Florida governor race
The former president is scheduled to participate, along with Jolly, in an evening interfaith event in Hollywood, Florida, on Oct. 22.
Former President Bill Clinton will make his first public appearance next week of the 2026 midterms, stumping for fellow Democrat David Jolly in his gubernatorial bid.
Clinton is scheduled to participate with Jolly, a former congressman, in an evening interfaith event in the South Florida coastal city of Hollywood on Oct. 22, according to MS NOW.
Jolly, a former Republican congressman, easily won the Democratic nomination for governor in August. He is running against Republican Rep. Byron Donalds, to succeed Gov. Ron DeSantis, who must leave office because of term limits.
Clinton rallied Democrats in the closing days of the election cycle in the 2022 midterms, and in 2024, he made dozens of stops in battleground states in support of the presidential campaign for Kamala Harris, who was vice president for Joe Biden, before he dropped out of the race and she became the nominee.
