Democratic Party narrows list of potential convention host cities to Boston, Denver or Philadelphia

Democrats on Thursday reduced the list of potential cities to host their 2028 presidential convention to Boston, Denver and Philadelphia.
Officials visited the three finalist cities, along with Atlanta and Chicago, which hosted the 2024 convention, to consider logistics, fundraising capacity and other factors. The party didn't specify why Atlanta and Chicago were eliminated, Newsmax reported.
Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin said in a statement that the three finalist cities put forward "incredibly strong bids."
The Democratic Party leaders are expected to make a final decision later this year. Republicans selected Houston to host their 2028 convention.
