Trump heads to Gracie Mansion to meet Zohran Mamdani

President Donald Trump on Monday announced he would visit New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani while in the Big Apple, at his invitation.

Despite vast political differences, Trump and Mamdani have generally enjoyed an amicable public relationship. As a former New Yorker, Trump has repeatedly wished Mamdani well, hoping that he could improve the city. Mamdani, in turn, visited the White House after winning office in what appeared to be a cordial visit.

"While in New York City, I’m on the way to one of my favorite places in the World, Gracie Mansion. I spent lots of hours there over the years, with some great Mayors, some average Mayors, and some bad Mayors," he posted on Truth Social. "It will be interesting to see how it looks now, invited by Mayor Mamdani. Look forward to it. MAKE NEW YORK CITY GREAT AGAIN!"

Gracie Mansion is the residence of the mayor of New York City. The historic home was constructed in 1799 and is situated on the eastern shore of the island of Manhattan.
