U.K. Health Secretary Streeting resigns, may be planning to challenge Starmer

U.K. Health Secretary Wes Streeting resigned Thursday and is expected to challenge British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's leadership. 

Starmer faces pressure to step down after last week's local and regional elections resulted in his the Labour Party facing widespread losses.

Streeting is the first member of Starmer's Cabinet to step down, according to the Associated Press 

Streeting has been known to have political ambitions and is considered one of the few people who has the clout to mount a successful challenge against Starmer.
