Ukraine's prosecutor general resigns, saying only it's 'a political decision'

Ukraine's prosecutor general resigned his position on Monday, citing pollical reasons. 

Ruslan Kravchenko provided few details in a statement on Telegram, but said his resignation "is a political decision" and that he "made it consciously," Reuters reported. 

He thanked President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukraine's parliament, and asked that they accept his resignation. 

Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies, the ​NABU and SAPO, said last week they'd uncovered a criminal organization dealing with fraudulent call centers. Allegedly, these were arranged by an official within the Prosecutor General's office. 

Kravchenko denied involvement in the alleged scheme.
