Iran threatens to close Strait of Hormuz if Trump authorizes strikes on their power plants

Trump said on Saturday evening that Iran would have a 48-hour deadline to fully open the strait before the U.S. and Israel attack Iranian nuclear power plants.

Iran vowed on Sunday to close the Strait of Hormuz if the U.S. follows through on President Donald Trump's threat to attack its power plants.

Trump said on Saturday evening that Iran would have a 48-hour deadline to fully open the strait before the U.S. and Israel start attacking Iranian power plants.

In response, the Iranian regime said the strait would be “completely closed” if Trump started to strike their power plants, the Associated Press reported.

An Iranian official has reportedly said the strait is currently open to all but "'enemy-linked ships."
