The crew of a U.S. Army helicopter that went down overnight near the Strait of Hormuz has been rescued, according to news reports and President Trump.

The New York Times reports, based on anonymous sources, that the two-member crew was rescued.

And President Donald Trump told reporters Monday night that the crew members were unharmed. An investigation is underway to determine whether the helicopter went down due to mechanical failure or if the Iranian military shot it down.

This is the first Apache helicopter known to be lost in the conflict with Iran.
