Vladimir Putin has undermined U.S. efforts against Iran: Pentagon official

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been working to undermine the U.S. in its conflict with Iran, according to a top Pentagon official. 

The revelations came to light during testimony by Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday, Fox News reported. 

Caine didn't offer any further details about what actions Putin has taken, other than to say, ”There’s definitely some action there.”

Mississippi Republican Sen. Roger Wicker, chair of the committee, agreed, saying there's "no question" Putin took action to undermine the U.S.
