Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were charged Wednesday in connection rape and human trafficking in the United Kingdom.

The Crown Prosecution Service announced that Andrew Tate, 38, is facing 10 charges, including ones in connerction with rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain, relating to three women, Sky News reported.

Andrew Tate's brother, Tristan, 36, is facing 11 charges relating to one woman, which include alleged rape, actual bodily harm and human trafficking.

"These charging decisions followed receipt of a file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police," a CPS spokesperson said Wednesday. "A European Arrest Warrant was issued in England in 2024, and as a result the Romanian courts ordered the extradition to the UK of Andrew and Tristan Tate. However, the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled first."

The Tates are dual U.S. and British citizens and were arrested in Romania in late 2022 before being formally indicted last year on charges that they participated in a criminal ring that lured women to the country, where they were allegedly sexually exploited. Andrew Tate also faced a rape charge.

After Romanian prosecutors lifted a travel ban, the Tates flew to the U.S. in February, Reuters reported. They flew back to Romania in March to fulfill legal obligations.

The Tates have always denied all charges and allegations against them.
