One of two inmates who escaped last month from a New Orleans jail and are still on the run has apparently made a video in which he asks for help from President Trump and rappers including Young Boy and Lil Wayne.

“I’m asking for help from the world, from Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Young Boy, Donald Trump," the person in the video says.

The man also claims that he did not escape from the jail, but was “let out” and that he ran away because he wanted to prove he was innocent.

Ten inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16. Eight have been caught. Massey and Derrick Groves are the only two still at large. Several people inside and outside the jail have been charged in connection with their inmates' escape and helping them evade authorities.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the roughly 9-minute-long video posted Monday is legitimate. But the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office posted a response on X, notifying the public that it's aware of the situation and the videos being posted.

Massey was incarcerated in connection with charges of domestic abuse, motor theft and parole violation.

The sheriff's office also urged Massey to turn himself in because it would benefit him in the long run.

"If the individual depicted in the video is indeed Antoine Massey, we strongly urge him to come forward and turn himself in to the proper authorities," the post reads. "Cooperating with law enforcement is in his best interest and may help avoid additional charges. It is important that justice is served appropriately and that due process is followed."

The office also told the public that it is continuing to “work closely with local, state, and federal partners to ensure both individuals are safely apprehended.”
