Federal grand jury indicts Minnesota couple accused of assaulting Turning Point USA contributor
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche called the alleged assault a "deplorable" act of "political violence."
A federal grand jury has indicted a Minnesota couple who allegedly assaulted Turning Point USA contributor Savannah Hernandez.
According to the indictment, Christopher Ostroushko, Deyanna Ostroushko, and Paige Ostroushko assaulted the reporter outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
Hernandez had posted video of the alleged assault on X earlier this month. Hernandez was reporting on an anti-ICE rally outside the federal facility.
“Hernandez was allegedly surrounded, physically assaulted, and shoved to the ground — simply because she was identified by the defendants as a conservative journalist. That is NOT ‘peaceful protest.’ These deplorable actions, as charged in the indictment, will not be tolerated in America, and this Department of Justice will always punish unhinged acts of political violence," Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement.
