Lindsey Clancy rejects conspiracies her ex-husband killed their 3 children, her lawyer says

Lindsey Clancy believes her ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, is being unfairly targeted by online investigators who accuse him of killing their three children in 2023, according to her defense attorney, Kevin Reddington.

In an interview with NBC News Wednesday, Reddington said she rejects the conspiracy theories directed at him. 

“She knows, and it’s readily apparent that Patrick has been set upon and his life has been turned upside down into a nightmare that he doesn’t deserve. Period. Full stop,” Reddington said. 

Patrick Clancy has issued statements responding to the allegations, calling them a "campaign of misinformation" and that those pushing the theories are deliberately publishing "outright falsehoods" about him being involved in the killings. 

He is also threatening through his lawyer to pursue legal action against "so-called influencers" who have made the allegations. His attorney, Howard Cooper, said in a statement that the “relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign” has harmed his client's reputation and livelihood. 

Lindsey Clancy, 36, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the January 2023 deaths of her three children, ages 5, 3 and 8 months, inside the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. She then cut herself and jumped out a window of her home, paralyzing herself in the fall. 

While she admitted to carrying out the killings, she pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, arguing that she had been experiencing postpartum psychosis and heard a voice commanding her to kill the children and herself. Her trial ended last week when the jury deadlocked. 

The case drew national attention, especially on social media platforms, where many women voiced support for Lindsey Clancy and promoted conspiracy theories claiming Patrick had either committed the killings or manipulated his then-wife into committing them.
