Man in custody after stabbing outside shelter in Salem leaves 11 injured

A man is in custody after a stabbing outside a shelter in Salem, Oregon, left 11 people injured.
Around 7:15 p.m. local time on Sunday, police responded to an area near the Union Gospel Mission after a stabbing incident occurred outside the shelter, where 11 people were taken to the hospital with “varying types of injuries,” according to officials, KOIN 6 News reported.
One man is in custody and Salem police are still on the scene on Monday as the investigation remains active.
