Maryland judge fatally shot in his driveway, police

A judge on the Maryland circuit court was fatally shot Thursday night in his driveway, according to police.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson was found with gunshot wounds around 8 p.m. on Thursday. 

Wilkinson, who was 52, was taken to the hospital where he died.

The sheriff's office as of early Friday morning had provided no additional details but is expected to hold a press conference later in the day.
