Maryland man charged with first and second-degree arson.

A Maryland man is facing charges for setting his home and his parents’ car on fire , according to police. 

St. Mary’s County Sheriff's Office has charged 47-year-old Michael Robert Guy, with first and second-degree arson in connection with the incident.

Firefighters arrived at the scene of the fire in Mechanicsville, Md. just after 1 a.m. 

After investigating, deputy state fire marshals declared that the fire was intentionally set and that the home was completely lost in the fire. Guy later revealed to the officials that he had set fire to his parents’ 2003 Cadillac on Saturday morning as well.

Guy is currently being held in St. Mary’s County Detention Center without bond. There is no known motive for these actions.
