Suspect in London stabbing of two Jews charged with attempted murder
Somalia-born Essa Suleiman was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
London Metropolitan Police on Friday formally charged a Somalian-born man with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing earlier this week of two Jewish men in the city's Gloders Green community.
The defendant, Essa Suleiman, 45, was also charged with one count of possession of a bladed article in a public place, in connection with the attack Wednesday on the 70- and 80-year-old men in the north London suburb, which has a large Jewish population, according to The Times of Israel.
Suleiman was arrested at the crime scene and charged in Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
