A Missouri woman pleaded guilty Wednesday for her role in a scheme to defraud surviving family members of singer Elvis Presley of millions of dollars and steal the ownership interest in Graceland from the family.

The defendant, Lisa Jeanine Findley, 53, was arrested last year on federal charges of mail fraud and aggravated identity theft.

According to the Department of Justice, Findley orchestrated a scheme to conduct a fraudulent sale of Graceland, Presley’s former home.

Findley used a fake company, forged documents and false court filings to claim that Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, pledged Graceland as collateral for a loan that she didn't pay off before she died.

She died in 2023 and the challenge was brought forth by daughter Danielle Riley Keough who says her mother never took out a loan.

Findley is scheduled to be sentenced on June 18 and could get up to 20 years in jail.
