Hollywood actor George Wendt, known for his iconic role as the lovable bar patron "Norm" on the television series "Cheers," died on Tuesday morning at the age of 76, his family said.
The cause of Wendt's death was not immediately clear, but his family said he died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday morning, according to TMZ.
He will be remembered as a "doting family man, a well-loved friend and confidant to all of those lucky enough to have known him," the family said.
