Comedian Roseanne Barr gets in a heated Twitter spat with Rob Reiner on elections
Barr has been an open supporter of Trump, while Reiner has been a frequent critic of the former president.
Comedian Roseanne Barr called out movie director Rob Reiner on Monday regarding his recent comments insulting Republicans who support former President Donald Trump, despite all of his indictments.
"Let this sink in," Reiner wrote on X, the platform previously called Twitter. "Republicans say that even if Trump is a Convicted Felon who attempted to destroy American Democracy, they will still vote for him. We will only survive if he, and the corrupt party he leads, is decisively defeated in 2024."
"What a crazy idea, you mean beat him in a fair and general election that would require good ideas and debate (and not so obvious corruption)???" Barr responded.
"Lol. Good luck dems," the post continued. "We know why you’re cheating and lying and indicting and false flagging. It’s your only hope. But keep telling us we are the threat to democracy."
Barr has been an open supporter of Trump, while Reiner has been a frequent critic of the former president.
Barr is most well known for her standup comedy and acting. Her show "Roseanne" ran from 1988 to 1997 and was briefly revived in March 2018. Reiner has directed many well known movies including "The Princess Bride" and "When Harry Met Sally."
Trump is currently facing four indictments, with two of them being federal. Despite this, he is still the frontrunner in all the GOP primary polls.
