Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday endorsed  calls for TIME Magazine to make the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk its "Person of the Year."

Kirk, who was assassinated at a rally in Utah earlier this year, is remembered for his staunch Christian faith and for founding the conservative grassroots organization Turning Point USA.

His death has also been credited with driving a resurgence in the conservative movement, with an increase in voters registering as Republicans in the days after the assassination.

Musk, who was TIME Magazine's Person of the Year in 2021, replied "yes," to a post on X that said Kirk should be given the title this year.

"Charlie Kirk should be the person of the year," the initial X post from Monday reads. "You can't change my mind."

The user also shared an image of Kirk along with the caption "We still remember, we're still fighting."

The title would be the most recent honor for the late conservative activist. Kirk received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Donald Trump posthumously last month.

Other notable recent TIME "Person of the Year" recipients include Trump, who received the title last year, Taylor Swift, who was given the title the year before that, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in 2022.

The recipients are typically announced in the first two weeks of December.
