Hayden Panettiere, who starred in 'Heroes' and 'Nashville,' dies at 36

Hayden Panettiere, who had roles in "Heroes and "Tennessee," died at age 36. 

"It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden," her father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement to ABC News on Sunday. 

Panettiere began her career as a child star, and she would go on to have roles in both television and film. 

In interviews and her memoir titled "This is Me: A Reckoning," which was published in May, Pantierre provided details about alcoholism, postpartum depression and domestic abuse.
