Stock in Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (CBRL) has nosedived following a widely lampooned redesign of its logo that stripped away both the cracker and the barrel.

Whereas formerly the company logo displayed an old man sitting upon a barrel next to a sign in the shape of a cracker, the new logo features a sterile display of the brand name on a loosely hexagonal background.

As of press time, CRL was down 8.66% for Thursday alone and down 14.12% over a mere five-day window. The new logo earned wide rebuke, including from competitors.

"Sometimes, people want to change things just to put their own personality on things. At CB, their goal is to just delete the personality altogether," posted the Steak 'n Shake account. 'Hence, the elimination of the 'old-timer' from the signage.  Heritage is what got Cracker Barrel this far, and now the CEO wants to just scrape it all away."

'Why, Cracker Barrel, why?" responded Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz.

"You disappointed the entire country.

This is what you took from us," posted North Carolina activist Matt Van Swol, along with a photo of a Cracker Barrel interior.

"By the way, Cracker Barrel enlisted THREE marketing agencies to come up with their new logo and remodel," noted the Daily Wire's Matt Walsh. "Three agencies collaborated for months to make their brand more generic. Like I said, the marketing industry is completely fake. It’s a 500 billion dollar scam."
