Flash flooding hit Kentucky on Saturday and it has caused one death so far.
Gov. Andy Beshear declared a State of Emergency for the Commonwealth.
The flash flood warnings have impacted Jackson County, Madison County and other parts of the state.
He said the flooding conditions are "much more severe than most would have thought."
Beshear said there could be more fatalities.
"Water rescues are already underway in some areas and, sadly, we have reports of fatalities we are working to confirm. Please take this dangerous weather event seriously. Let’s do what we can to keep everyone safe," he wrote on X.
