Former Los Angeles police detective Mark Fuhrman, who investigated O.J. Simpson, dies at 74

Former Los Angeles Police Department detective Mark Fuhrman, who was one of the lead investigators in OJ Simpson's murder trial, died Monday at the age of 74-years-old.
Fuhrman was one of the main investigators into allegations that Simpson killed his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend Ron Goldman, in 1994. He was later convicted of lying on the witness stand and banned from serving in law enforcement.
The former LAPD detective's death was confirmed by Lynette Acebedo, the chief deputy coroner in Kootenai County, Idaho, according to NBC News.
“There will be no other information provided through this office,” Acebedo said in a brief statement.
Fuhrman was the detective who allegedly found a bloody glove on Simpson's property but his reputation was tarnished after the defense produced recordings of the man making racist statements, which called his credibility into question.
He was one of the detectives blamed for Simpson's acquittal.
