Texas Governor Abbott orders state agencies to stop funding Flock cameras

Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott is barring state agencies from providing funding for Flock cameras.

He informed agencies of the decision on Thursday evening, 

The Texas Tribune reported that the Texas legislature allowed an increase in auto insurance costs in 2023 to fund 3,200 Flock cameras in the state.

The news outlet was reportedly preparing to run a story about an investigation of the state’s funding of Flock cameras.
