Tim Walz calls for Trump to 'release the MRI results' after president slams Minnesota
"The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both," he said.
Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz called for President Donald Trump on Friday to release the results of his latest brain scan, after Trump trashed Minnesota and its governor for the state's Somali population.
Walz made the swipe after Trump said he would "permanently pause" immigration from "Third World Countries," and used Minnesota as an example of the "burden" refugees are placing on the United States.
"As an example, hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota," Trump said in a long rant on social media. "Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for 'prey' as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses hoping against hope that they will be left alone.
"The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both," he added.
Walz, who ran for vice president on the Democratic ticket last year, told Trump in response that he needs to "release the MRI results," referring to an MRI scan Trump underwent last month at Walter Reed.
Trump later announced that his MRI scan, which was done during a routine visit, was "perfect." Trump's doctor has also said the president is in "exceptional health."
