Technology company to manufacture AI tools worth up to $500 billion over next four years
Nvidia announced that it would be building Blackwell chips in Arizona and AI supercomputers in Texas.
The technology company Nvidia announced Monday that it will build artificial intelligence infrastructure worth about $500 billion in the U.S. during the next four years.
The California-based company plans to build Blackwell chips in Arizona and AI supercomputers in Texas.
Blackwell chips are designed to accelerate AI workloads.
"NVIDIA Blackwell chips have started production at TSMC’s chip plants in Phoenix, Arizona," the company said in a statement. "NVIDIA is building supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas, with Foxconn in Houston and with Wistron in Dallas."
The production in both plants will likely increase in the next 12 to 15 months.
The announcement comes as the Trump administration advocates for manufacturing to be based in the U.S.
