Trump Media files for AI trademarks
The company has moved to expand the functionality of the app through multiple means since its IPO, notably launching Truth+ streaming in April.
The Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) on Wednesday announced that it had filed for a string of AI-related trademarks as the company looks to incorporate artificial intelligence into its Truth Social media platform.
“Integrating AI into Truth Social will be a big push forward in our initiative to expand and enhance the platform, further developing the Truth Social ecosphere as a one-stop-shop for reliable information, non-woke news, and entertainment," TMTG CEO Devin Nunes said in a press release.
Specifically, the company applied to register "Truth Social AI" and "Truth Social AI Search", suggesting that the company hopes to implement functions similar to those of Grok on X, which often functions as both a search engine and chatbot similar to ChatGPT.
