Turning Point USA event at UC Berkley sparks protests, violence, arrests
The event was Turning Point's final in a nationwide campus tour.
A Turning Point USA rally Monday night at UC Berkeley in California resulted in fights outside of the event and the arrest of at least three people, according to a news report.
Video shows police breaking up a fight between two men, one of whom appeared to have a bloody face, according to a report from KTVU.
The event was Turning Point's final in a nationwide campus tour. It was also on the two-month anniversary of founder Charlie Kirk being killed while speaking at a Utah college.
Demonstrators outside of the on-campus event included students and activists who gathered hours before doors opened.
There were also reportedly problems with ticketing for the event, with some blaming the university for logistical mishaps.
Before the event, police arrested four UC Berkeley students on suspicion of felony vandalism, according to KCRATV.
