Former Boris Johnson adviser says US should have a monarchy with Trump as king
"I think everyone's starting to come around and saying maybe monarchy is not too bad of a system," he said.
Former Boris Johnson adviser Thomas Corbett-Dillon said Thursday that he thinks the United States should have a monarchy with former President Donald Trump as the king.
"I am a monarchist," Corbett-Dillon said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "I do believe that a monarchy is the best system, which is why I'm putting forward that we should have a king of America. And I think it's got to be Donald Trump."
He added that Trump would be the only one who could fill the "golden shoes."
Corbett-Dillon used to be an adviser to former United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson and is a current political strategist.
"I think everyone's starting to come around and saying maybe monarchy is not too bad of a system," he said.
He went on to joke about "anointing" Trump as king of America.
