Judge prohibits 'all' electronic devices for media in Trump courtroom
Trump faces arraignment on Tuesday over his unprecedented indictment last week.
Members of the news media will be barred from using any electronic devices in the courtroom during Trump's arraignment on Tuesday, following orders issued by a federal magistrate.
Writing in her ruling Monday, Chief U.S. District Judge Cecilia Altonaga ordered "all cellular phones and/or electronic equipment are hereby prohibited for news reporters and other members of the media" inside the courtroom, according to the New York Post.
Any "knowing or willful violation" of the order could result in a $5,000 fine and 30 days behind bars.

Judge Altonaga's order was issued the same day that Florida Magistrate Judge Jonathan Goodman, who is assigned to Trump's Tuesday arraignment, denied a motion submitted by a media coalition for a "limited number of photographs and video-recordings in the courtroom" and for the "immediate release" of recordings after its conclusion.
Goodman said he denied the motion in part because it would apply to "all future proceedings and hearings," and that he's "only" presiding over Tuesday's.
Trump was indicted on 37 felony counts last week in relation to his alleged mishandling of classified U.S. documents.
