Trump to bar future Haley donors from MAGA: 'We don’t want them'
"We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!" he declared.
In the wake of his victory in the New Hampshire Republican primary over former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, former President Donald Trump has declared that persons who contribute to her campaign moving forward will be unwelcome in the Make America Great Again movement.
Haley has emerged as the sole remaining challenger to Trump for the Republican presidential nomination and vowed on Tuesday to press forward with her campaign despite losing the Granite State. Trump has deemed her aspirations "delusional."
"Nikki 'Birdbrain' Haley is very bad for the Republican Party and, indeed, our Country. Her False Statements, Derogatory Comments, and Humiliating Public Loss, is demeaning to True American Patriots," Trump posted on Truth Social. "Her anger should be aimed at her Third Rate Political Consultants and, more importantly, Crooked Joe Biden and those that are destroying our Country - NOT THE PEOPLE WHO WILL SAVE IT."
"I knew Nikki well, she was average at best, is not the one to take on World Leaders, and she never did. That was up to me, and that is why they respected the United States," Trump went on. "When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate's 'Donors' would immediately come to me, and want to 'help out.'"
"This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me. Anybody that makes a 'Contribution' to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp," Trump declared. "We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!"
In the leadup to the New Hampshire primary, Haley drew scrutiny for receiving financial support from Democratic megadonors such as Reid Hoffman. The state permitted independents to vote in the party primary, moreover, leading Haley's campaign to gain traction with non-Republicans.
Trump leads Haley by 55.1% in the RealClearPolitics polling average.
