Trump to deliver closing midterm election message at Reflecting Pool in Washington

President Donald Trump on Monday will reportedly deliver a closing midterm election message at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington.

The speech is scheduled for 2 p.m., and it will highlight the accomplishments of his administration and congressional Republicans, Axios reported, citing an unnamed White House official.

The speech will also contain remarks on his efforts to beautify the nation's capital, which includes a renovation of the Reflecting Pool.

Controversy has swirled around the project since it was initiated last summer. The pool was allegedly vandalized, and the Justice Department charged a former Olympic canoeist, David Hearn. The case was permanently dismissed after prosecutors admitted faulty installation caused the damage.
